Wilkum Studios is led by Commodore (ahem) Stephen Ulrich. The picture above is a posed, ridiculous photo. His bold stance calls attention to the irony of his position as a humble cameraman and hopefully shows his sense of self-deprecating humor. On a serious note, this was taken during the summer of 2015 on an expedition with EarthEcho International, exploring the science of marine dead zones. He is looking into a bright future for our oceans, and his belief that if we take action now on climate change and consumption habits, we can enjoy all the beauty and wonder that creation intended.
